The Republic of Singapore contacted EDT to develop a solution to control fuel expenses for the country’s 2000 public safety vehicles and boats. The Singapore fleet was managed across a series of bases located throughout the country. The Singapore Public Safety Authority wanted to evaluate each of the base’s fuel consumption, improve fuel economy, and improve mileage and patrol effectiveness. They also needed to access all reporting information via a highly secure internal intranet on a daily basis.
EDT initially implemented its fuel management system to serve Singapore’s 2000 public safety land and marine fleet.
Special client servers, set up, and configured with EDT's proprietary Web application software, are maintained by Singapore. This enables vehicle telematics to transmit all specified information from all of Singapore’s fleet vehicles on a daily basis.
Full integration between fuel and fleet management systems was needed, including car telematics, information about over – speeding, siren time activation, and accident analyses.
Today, EDT fleet management, automotive telematics and fuel management solutions continue to support Singapore’s public safety fleet of 2500 vehicles.
